Who is in and out of the noise of men and women?

The Royal Rumble takes place on Saturday, February 1, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The fields for the men’s and women’s Rumbles are not completely filled, and there will be some notable surprises. However, nine men and two women have already declared for their respective Rumbles.

Here’s a look at all the men and women who have already thrown their proverbial hat into the ring for the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble:

John Cena

The franchise is on its farewell tour and has its first chance to position itself to win a record 17 world championships. Cena announced that he was in the Rumble during the premiere of WWE Raw on Netflix on January 6, 2025.

CM Punk

It looks like Punk has been promised a main event spot at WrestleMania. He shouldn’t get it by winning the Royal Rumble, but it would make sense for it to happen that way. Punk also announced his entry into the Rumble during the debut of Raw on Netflix.

Roman Reign

Wiseman Paul Heyman made the announcement about Reigns on SmackDown on January 10, but it was Reigns who made the announcement during Tribal Combat against Solo Sikoa during Raw’s Netflix debut. If you don’t think Reigns is still a true professional wrestler, you haven’t seen the match.

Seth Rollins

Rollins is in, but it doesn’t look like he has a chance to win, and that’s too bad. I hate that Rollins is used to putting over guys on his level repeatedly. That said, when is Rollins not good at his job? Rollins stated on the January 13, 2025 episode of Raw.

Drew McIntyre

At some point, shouldn’t it be Drew’s turn to win and hold the title for a while? Maybe at some point, but I don’t consider him a strong favorite to win the Rumble. In his beef with Rollins, both men declared on the same episode of Raw.

LA Knight

Knight must find her again. Right now, he seems a little lost. His character comes across as a rapper with limited bars who needs great production to make solid music. Unfortunately, he hasn’t found the right producer and I don’t expect much from him at the Rumble. He returned on the January 3, 2025 episode of SmackDown.

Hey Uso

No way Jey wins. Despite his meteoric rise and some great work, it doesn’t seem like WWE sees him as the guy to win the Rumble. However, I would expect him to play an interesting role in the decision. Jey announced the Rumble on the January 10, 2025 episode of SmackDown.

Rey Mysterio

The days of the little guy who won the Rumble are over for Mysterio. I expect him to be included in a cool spot, but if you’re looking for a 2006 replay, you’re delusional and probably running around the house wearing one of the legend’s iconic masks. Mysterio announced his intentions on the January 17, 2025 episode of SmackDown.

Sami Zayn

Zayn was one of the latest entrants to Royal Rumble 2025. There will be drama and an interesting storyline, but Sami will not win. Anyway, Zayn announced his participation on the January 20, 2025 episode of Raw.

On the women’s side, only two have declared for the Rumble:

Nia Jax

I believe Jax was a Top 3 heel in WWE in 2024, behind only Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. I don’t consider McIntyre a heel. Jax won the Queen of the Ring and became the WWE Women’s Champion. Because she had such a strong year and just lost the title when Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase, I think it’s highly unlikely that Jax will win the Rumble. However, she stated on the January 13, 2025 episode of Raw.

Bayley

Bayley won in 2024 and there is no way she can win consecutive Rumbles. Let’s leave it there. She announced the match on the January 20, 2025 episode of Raw.
